Emdar contains Ondansetron Tablets salt composition which is a prescription drug. Ondansetron tablets are used to stop feeling nausea and vomiting caused by certain medical treatments like chemotherapy, radiation treatment, and surgery.

Ondansetron tablets belong to an antiemetic medication class that helps in blocking the action of a chemical messenger (serotonin) in the brain that sends the signal to the brain which causes nausea and vomiting during anti-cancer treatment or after surgery.

After cancer-related treatment, a certain area of the brain is triggered and sends signals to other parts of the body like certain areas of the esophagus which is a tube that connects the mouth to the stomach, small intestine, and large intestine. These triggers activate a reflex pathway that causes the feeling of nausea and vomiting in a person and to help them to block these emotions Ondansetron tablets are prescribed by the doctor.
