Rabeprazole and Itopride Capsules with the branding “BAREC-IT” are used to decrease the increased level of stomach acid also known as Hyperacidity. It is used to treat GORD (gastro-oesophagal reflux disease), and peptic ulcers. They include gastroesophageal reflux disease which is common and is defined by the regular backward flow of stomach acid into the food pipe (oesophagus). A peptic ulcer is an open sore that develops in the inner lining of the intestine and the stomach in particular.

Rabeprazole and Itopride Capsules is a combination of two drugs: Rabeprazole and Itopride. Rabeprazole is a drug with a PPI that formulates a drug that radically inhibits the action of the enzyme gastric proton pump that is involved in acid production. It reduces levels of acid released from the stomach for the treatment of heartburn and acid digestion.

Thus, Itopride operates in a section of the brain that helps to deal with vomiting. It also enhances gastric emptying while facilitating the sensitivity and tension of the stomach plus the intestines in the upper digestive tract. It also produces an anti-emetic effect. In combination, it is useful in the prevention of acid reflux, thus getting rid of acidity.
